Leeds United’s bench were the catalyst to the comeback victory over Leicester City on Friday.
The Foxes had been dominating for much of the second half after going into the break 1-0 ahead, but failed to capitalise on a number of big opportunities they created.
In order to stem the tide, Daniel Farke was forced into making changes, perhaps earlier than usual, that made the difference in securing an incredible 3-1 win against the league leaders.
Connor Roberts’ goal was what kick started a crazy last 10 minutes as he steered home an equaliser inside the area, before Archie Gray and fellow substitute Patrick Bamford completed the comeback.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, Neil Redfearn was full of praise for Roberts at full-time and believes he would is good enough to start for every single team in the Championship.
Redfearn hails Roberts in comeback win
He said: “In Connor Roberts you are looking at a really good player who again, would get into every other Championship side. He has been really patient, waited for his moment and made a really big impact. The goal was massive for Leeds because it just kick started everything.”
Roberts is still awaiting his first start for Leeds since joining from Burnley but he probably won’t enjoy many better moments than that equalising goal last night.

The 28-year-old could’ve been forgiven for celebrating his strike and settling for a point given how the game went, but that is certainly not what he did, as he urged his teammates to go for more.
There is no doubt that Roberts joined Leeds in January in the hope of playing more than he had been at Burnley, but he has been forced to be patient so far due to the form of Gray.
However, Farke must surely now be giving serious consideration as to how he can get him into his team, given the impact he can have as a player, and a leader.
