Leeds United currently have 10 players plying their trade out on loan from the club.
It had been 11 until Sonny Perkins was recalled from his time at Oxford United last night, having made just three very brief cameo appearances from the bench in League One.
So far it is fair to say they have all had varying degrees of success. On one end of the scale there have been reports Brenden Aaronson could also have an early recall, while at the other Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign Robin Koch permanently.
One man who is somewhere in the middle of that is Marc Roca, who returned to action after the winter break last night for Real Betis in a 2-1 loss away at Celta Vigo.
And according to Estadio Deportivo, Roca did not enjoy his best night of action, as they reported in their post-match player ratings piece that he had ‘problems’ alongside William Carvalho in midfield.
Roca struggles amid new permanent deal reports
Handing him a fairly decent rating of 6/10, they said: “Too much only in the centre of the field in the construction and also in the defence. He had problems due to William Carvalho’s little help.”
This performance comes after new reports that Betis may well not be able to afford Leeds‘ asking price for a permanent deal, if the Whites are promoted to the Premier League.
Roca has been praised fairly regularly by the Spanish media for his performances and has already confirmed himself that talks have begun over a permanent move.
At the same time, It has already been reported by the media in Spain that Betis will be able to sign Roca on loan for a second season if Leeds fail to get promoted this year.
Hopefully Leeds are able to get promoted and the two clubs can come to some sort of agreement for a price similar to what was paid to sign him from Bayern Munich around 18 months ago.
