Leeds United’s squad is currently weaker than how it started the transfer window.
The Whites have lost two first team players so far this month with Djed Spence having seen his loan terminated early, while Luke Ayling made the move to Middlesbrough until the end of the season.
With just six days of the window remaining, Leeds are still yet to bring anyone in to replace those who have gone out, however, it would appear one potential outgoing has found a resolution.
Charlie Cresswell had not been in contention to be selected by Daniel Farke for the last few weeks with the Leeds manager having claimed that he needed to improve his attitude.
But speaking in his latest pre-match press conference ahead of Plymouth Argyle earlier today, Farke says the door is now back open again for Cresswell to be involved after talks over the last few days.
Cresswell back in contention for Leeds
He said: “Overall he was in training the last weeks absolutely professional and open and honest. We have agreed, and I have also told him, I will not call him to the matchday squad until he is ready to go.
“We had conversations in the last days. He definitely wants to stay. The door is always open. We were pretty clear it was up to him. I was not annoyed by this situation, it was very understandable.
“He was a regular starter in the Championship last season. When you’re not playing too much, you’re overthinking the situation. Right now the door is back open to be reinvolved.”

Cresswell had been expected to leave Elland Road this month with offers having been turned down from numerous clubs including Millwall.
While there is still a chance he does move on before next Thursday’s deadline, it is good news he is available for selection again given the current injury problems at the back.
It is uncertain as to whether tomorrow’s game comes too soon, but if he does start, it is an opportunity to stake a claim for a more regular role that he simply cannot afford to pass up.
