Leeds United host Plymouth Argyle this afternoon in the final match before the international break.
The Whites will be looking to make it three wins in a row to keep the pressure on both Leicester City and Ipswich Town, who still occupy the Championship’s top two positions.
Daniel Farke’s side will be full of confidence after picking up all three points at the league leaders last week, but will be without Pascal Struijk – who had played every minute of every game.
Elsewhere, Farke will be keen to avoid changing things too much given the momentum that will have been generated from the win over Leicester.
So, with that in mind, here is our predicted XI for the game.
Goalkeeper
Illan Meslier, of course, keeps his place in goal after last week’s wonder save in added time.
Defence
With both Jamie Shackleton and Djed Spence still out, Archie Gray is likely to keep his place at right-back, with Sam Byram on the opposite flank. Junior Firpo will be pushing for a start after getting another week of training under his belt.
Liam Cooper is expected to come in at centre-back alongside Joe Rodon in the absence of Struijk.
Midfield
Ethan Ampadu and Glen Kamara were both exceptional in last week’s win over the Foxes and will get another chance to continue building their midfield partnership.
Attack
Farke may be tempted to rotate his attack somewhat with both Willy Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony keen for another chance from the start.
However, with the form both Crysencio Summerville and Dan James are both in, it is difficult to see how he leaves either of those out.
Georginio Rutter and Joel Piroe continue centrally, with Patrick Bamford a doubt due to illness.
