PL manager of player Leeds United want to sign is now ‘reluctant’ to let him go

Leeds United are said to be biding their time in pursuit of the players they want to sign this month.

Just like in the summer, when Leeds completed five of their nine signings in the final two weeks of the window, they are prepared to wait until later to secure their first choice targets.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are waiting for, what they expect, the transfer dominos to fall, before the players they really want to sign become available.

One of those could include Burnley’s Connor Roberts, who is said to be keen on a move to Elland Road with three of his Wales international teammates already at the club.

However, one player who Leeds’ strategy may not apply to is Bournemouth’s Kieffer Moore, with the Telegraph reporting that manager Andoni Iraola is ‘reluctant’ to let him go this month.

At this stage, Leeds are only said to be aware of Moore’s current situation at Bournemouth, which is that he has very much been a bit-part player so far this season, with just two starts across all competitions.

However, several other Championship sides including Cardiff City and Sunderland do have a more serious interest in the 31-year-old, but may be frustrated by Bournemouth’s current stance.

Alongside the aforementioned Roberts, Moore is one of several Wales internationals reportedly on Leeds’ radar this month, with David Brooks and Chris Mepham also said to be targets.

Brooks and Mepham are, of course, also at Bournemouth, which is where Jaidon Anthony is too currently on loan from at Leeds for the rest of the season.

However, if a striker is what Leeds want to add this month, then they may have to turn their attention away from Moore as Iraola digs his heels in to keep him at the club.
