Paraag Marathe will have to handle the final few days of Leeds United’s transfer window effectively as clubs may try to swindle their way out of deals.
It’s going to be an eye-opener this January as it looks as though it could be the first window under the 49ers ownership where Leeds don’t see any incomings come through the door.
Daniel Farke said he held talks with Marathe but so far the outcome of these talks haven’t been revealed.
It may not bode well for Marathe who has gone back on his pledge as he assured the fanbase that signings would be made this January.
Outgoings have probably taken more of the limelight as a European club is being tricky with a player looking for the exit door at Leeds.

The manager doesn’t seem to be under any uncertainty as Marathe and Farke have a great relationship.
There is no reason why he would be, so that should therefore put perspective on bolstering the Leeds squad.
Well, the opposite is happening, with players trying to leave, as Rasmus Kristensen is still trying to secure a permanent move away from Elland Road.
However, according to the print edition of BILD (28/01/25), Eintracht Frankfurt want to pay ‘well under £8m’ for Kristensen, despite agreeing to pay Leeds United £12.5m for him in the summer.
The Bundesliga side now want a discount on Kristensen who has performed well for the German side on loan as Marathe must stand his ground, as Leeds find the demand ‘questionable’.

Leeds loanee Kristensen has been on fine form in the Bundesliga
Kristensen left Leeds on a season-long loan in the summer and has been seemingly enjoying life with Frankfurt.
Although Kristensen has been criticized, on the whole, his tenure has been successful.

The full-back grabbed his first two assists in his last three games which has continued his strong form and gives more reason why Marathe shouldn’t budge on his asking price.
As long as Kristensen keeps performing, Leeds shouldn’t play along with Frankfurt.
