Five became six on Tuesday evening when another player left Leeds United on loan in the form of Charlie Crew – while another of the six was in action and helped his side win 4-1.
Six is expected to become seven, with Hull City expected to announce the loan signing of Joe Gelhardt soon. It comes after Leeds allowed five first-team players to leave Elland Road on loan in the summer.
Sam Greenwood and Darko Gyabi joined Preston and Plymouth while Sonny Perkins went back to Leyton Orient. Eight left in 2023 on loan after relegation, while two of those eight saw their clauses reactivated.
Jack Harrison and Rasmus Kristensen left on 2023 and then again last summer, Harrison rejoining Everton and Kristensen going to Robin Koch’s Frankfurt. On Tuesday night, he was used as a right-sided winger.

Kristensen has made a superb start to life at Frankfurt, so much so that Frankfurt want Kristensen’s deal done permanently. The chances are, he will join the Bundesliga side on a permanent basis this summer.
He has played right-back ever since he joined but on Tuesday night, he was used as a right-winger in a 3-1-4-2 system. Frankfurt beat Freiburg 4-1, but German outlet FR were not that impressed by Kristensen.

Does Rasmus Kristensen have any kind of future at Leeds?
Kristensen, like Harrison, has now left Leeds twice in two seasons on loan. Harrison has a bit of credit in the bank given he helped Leeds get promoted and played for the club for five seasons from 2018 to 2023.
With Kristensen, there is no credit in the bank. He flopped in his one and only season at Leeds, losing his place in Denmark’s squad. He is back in it now, thanks to his excellent form over in the Bundesliga.
Given he is shining in Germany’s top tier with a side pushing for European competition and he has won his Denmark place back, the chances are that he will be pushing to go and Leeds will sanction his exit.
