Paraag Marathe will be setting Leeds United up for an exciting summer as plans are being put in place.
All Marathe wants is to see Leeds remain in the Premier League, and he trusts Daniel Farke to achieve this.
This was made clear after the owners decided to keep the Whites boss, as Marathe admires Farke’s belief.
Farke deserves his chance, and with Leeds providing the £100m transfer kitty, the sky could be the limit for the Whites this summer.
With many incomings expected, one deal from Newcastle United has emerged as a likelihood.

Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff emerges in Leeds United plan
With the Whites looking at signing Premier League targets, what better way to look than the reliable Sean Longstaff.
The 27-year-old has a plethora of top-flight experience, with the midfielder now in his seventh campaign with The Toon Army.
Leeds admire Longstaff, and this signing is looking like a concrete possibility this summer.
Although they’re facing competition from Everton for Longstaff, Farke will know he’s the kind of player he needs in the squad for next season.
Well, exclusively speaking to LeedsUnited.News, Graeme Bailey has given the likelihood of Longstaff looking for a move and how he would fit into Farke’s plans.
“My understanding is that he will be leaving Newcastle,” Bailey said.
“He’s a very solid Premier League player. I think Leeds need numbers in that area.
“The Ampadu situation, you have Gruev and Tanaka, Tanaka, in my opinion, will only get better – he will be one of the stories next season. He will be brilliant. Will Ampadu stay in defence?”

Farke needs to target Longstaff-type players at Leeds
With Longstaff’s transfer considered, this is exactly where Marathe’s transfer masterplan should be heading.
The midfielder is experienced in the top flight and will know what it takes to win games, and Farke should continue this trend if Longstaff is signed.
Despite Farke potentially looking in Germany for transfers, he will find major success in looking at these sorts of players who have been there and done it in the Premier League.
| Longstaff’s best Premier League season (23/24) | |
| Games played | 35 |
| Goal contributions | 8 (6G & 2A) |
| Touches in opposition box | 94 |
| Duels won | 117 |
| Tackles won % | 55.6% |
This shows Farke would be getting a commanding box-to-box midfielder who would slot perfectly into Leeds’ middle of the park.
To make matters better, he’s 27 and in his prime, and Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is seemingly putting a £10m price-tag on Longstaff, proving it would be a bargain.
But the main factor is getting a Premier League-proven player, and Farke should continue to explore this strategy further down the line.
