Leeds United will be thrilled to be back in the top flight, but Daniel Farke will certainly have his concerns.

As Leeds are back where they belong, Farke’s side can’t skip ahead just yet with the Championship title still to be won.

Ethan Ampadu sent a warning to Burnley as the showdown between both clubs will just give bragging rights going into next season.

But with the Premier League presenting a new challenge, the 49ers will do everything they can to end the Premier League trend of newly promoted teams being relegated at their first attempt.

It’s clear the owners want Leeds established in the Premier League, but Fulham boss Marco Silva has given reason why that might not happen.

Marco Silva makes claim about Leeds United fans in Premier League verdict

The Fulham manager will know all too well about the Championship after guiding the Cottagers away from the second tier in the 21/22 season.

Since then, he has managed to establish Fulham in the Premier League and is doing a terrific job.

This is what Farke will be trying to replicate as the 49ers look to stick with Farke after previous claims he was going to be sacked.

Of course, pressure will be on him, and if Silva’s claim gets proven right, he could be in trouble.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference to Sky Sports, the Portuguese manager made a statement about Leeds’ fans and how the Premier League is a complete different ball game.

“Leeds, great fanbase they have and all that stuff and their history as a football club too,” Silva said.

“But the gap is getting bigger, the last two seasons are a good example of it, of course what’s happened, three seasons ago with us and the other two clubs that were promoted (Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest), it’s not something that happens often the three still playing in the Premier League and in the top half of the table.

“It shows that it’s very difficult to achieve it and shows it’s getting more complicated.”

If anyone can bridge the Premier League gap it’s Leeds

With excitement for the new season, it seems to have been overshadowed by claims that Leeds will inevitably be relegated.

It’s hard to disagree with the current bottom three being the Championship sides who were promoted, but the Whites are hoping to end this dreaded curse.

Alan Shearer can see Leeds staying up, and the 49ers’ plans give every reason as to why.

If Paraag Marathe stands by his promise of Leeds spending big, it shows that with the right recruitment, the Whites can bridge the gap.

The only concern is Farke’s Premier League record, but if the owners have full faith in the manager, Leeds have a huge chance to end the trend.
