Leeds United have suffered a few setbacks over the past few weeks but may see some players return.

Daniel Farke will be hoping his absentees return as Leeds will need a squad as big as possible with the Whites’ run-in.

Farke has said Leeds will have a quiet window, and it looks as though the Leeds boss will, but if new injuries emerge that could all change.

Full-back is a position made aware at Leeds for recruitment as Leeds could consider alternatives.

However, there is some positive news for Leeds, with a long-term absentee confirming their place in Leeds’ FA Cup tie with Harrogate Town on Saturday.

Junior Firpo looks to be available for Leeds United vs Harrogate Town

Junior Firpo suffered a hamstring injury during Leeds’ 2-0 victory against Derby County which has seen him out of action for six weeks.

Farke said Firpo could return for the FA Cup and the defender has taken to Instagram to confirm he will be in the squad.

Firpo posted a graphic detailing the match on his Instagram story, which normally results in the player featuring in the game or at least the squad.

A revelation for Leeds fans to look forward to as a natural full-back finally returns after Max Wober and Sam Byram’s stints in that position.

Firpo’s return could be massive boost for Leeds after stumbling form

With Firpo waiting to sign a deal with Leeds, his involvement could contribute to that, with the left-back only signing if Farke’s side gain promotion.

A big element in football is to have a left-back with a left foot, which is a rarity in some teams.

Wober has done well with his left foot, but being a natural centre-back has had its flaws, as Tony Dorigo put the blame on Wober for Hull’s first goal in Leeds’ 3-3 draw with the Tigers.

Byram is a solid option, and has a strong left foot, but can’t be relied upon with his fitness struggles.

With Firpo returning it’s proven to be a reliable option this season, especially with his natural presence at left-back.
