Leeds United could be about to make a season-changing decision on 24-year-old’s future

Daniel Farke was left disappointed when Luis Sinisterra secured the latest of deadline day exits from Leeds United.

Following the game against Sheffield Wednesday back in September, Farke spoke publicly about how much he wanted to keep him, but the lure of Premier League football was too much for the Colombian.

Sinisterra had been in a dispute with Leeds regarding an exit clause in his contract after relegation, which saw him miss matches against Birmingham City and West Brom.

He then made a goalscoring return to the side in the impressive win at Ipswich Town, which made it appear as though it had all blown over, and that he would be staying at Leeds.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Angus Kinnear has since revealed it had continued to bubble over behind-the-scenes, and so the decision was taken to do a loan swap with Bournemouth for Jaidon Anthony.

Sinisterra recall would be season-changing for Leeds

However, due to the lack of starts for both players at their new clubs, Team Talk are now reporting that the possibility of the loan deal being ended early is under consideration.

Anthony has struggled for game time at Leeds due to the form of the players ahead of him in his position, but should Sinisterra return, he would be an instant starter.

Ipswich have made a record-breaking start to their Championship campaign, yet Sinisterra made their defence look ordinary back in August. That remains their only home defeat.

His performance in that game just shows that he is way too good for this level and while Dan James has been incredible as of late, Sinisterra is without a doubt, next level.

Of course, there will undoubtedly be some animosity from supporters regarding his exit, but if that could somehow be overcome, he’d be a ridiculous player to have for the second half of the season.
