Leeds United fans have been sending the same message to Junior Firpo after his transfer to Real Betis was finally confirmed on Thursday.
There’s still well over a month of the transfer window left but Leeds United’s squad is already looking very different to the one that clinched the Championship title in May.
Four new players have already arrived in Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Gabriel Gudmundsson, while Sean Longstaff is expected to join them at Elland Road very soon.
Additionally, Daniel Farke has lost four players after Manor Solomon and Joe Rothwell’s loans expired and Josua Guilavogui and Junior Firpo were released.
Leeds wanted to keep Firpo after his starring role last season, but the left-back’s wage demands proved too high for a deal to be reached.
With Gudmundsson already signed to replace him, there is no bad blood for Firpo from Leeds fans, who have all rushed to social media to wish him the best of luck in Spain.

Leeds United fans wish Junior Firpo luck after Real Betis move sealed
Firpo has finally completed his dream move by returning to Betis, his first European club, where he spent five years from 2014 to 2019.
It became obvious long before his contract expired that Firpo was heading for the exit but Leeds fans appear to have no animosity.
Taking to the replies of Betis’ announcement of the signing, Leeds fans had positive messages for their former player.
One fan wrote: “Good luck @JuniorFirpo03,” and the thoughts were echoed by another who said: “Best of luck Junior,” with yellow and blue love heart emojis.
“Brilliant, good luck, Junior,” another fan wrote with a goat and clapping emojis. While other fans said: “Look after him!” and “Take care of him, lads!”
Firpo has signed a three-year contract with Betis until 2028.
Junior Firpo’s wife sends heartfelt message to Leeds United
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday ahead of the transfer’s confirmation, Julia Firpo, the wife of Junior, took to Instagram to send a lovely message to everyone at Leeds.
It read: “Thank you, Leeds.
“We arrived not knowing what to expect… and we’re leaving with full hearts.
“My children came here so little, without even knowing what football was… and now they’re leaving as true Leeds fans, singing the anthem with all their heart.
“Our first times at Elland Road were pure magic: the excitement, the chants, the goosebumps. Marching On Together is now part of who we are.
“But Leeds has been so much more than football. It’s been home. We’ve been truly happy here.
“We’ve grown, we’ve learned, we’ve made mistakes, laughed, cried… and matured, all of us.
“We’ll carry with us the walks in Roundhay Park, the winters filled with the smell of gingerbread, Christmas fairs, slow conversations, and ordinary days that turned into unforgettable memories.
“Thank you to the club and Elland Road staff, always kind, welcoming, and full of warmth. To the fans, for showing us what true loyalty means, through the good times and, most of all, the hard ones.
“And to the amazing people this city gave us, you’ll always be with us. You’re now a part of our story.
“Today we say goodbye to Leeds, but Leeds will never leave us. Marching On Together. Always.”
