Leeds United have a leader in Joe Rodon going into next season, as the Welshman will be integral to their Premier League chances.
Rodon’s £10m transfer from Tottenham is looking more and more like a bargain every time he plays.
The 27-year-old seems to be in his prime at Leeds as Farke thinks Rodon is ‘captain material’.
Rodon has certainly shown this leadership, and if he can stay fit he should play a big part in helping Leeds avoid the drop.
Eddie Gray thinks Rodon would ‘walk’ into Tottenham after they sold him, and it appears Rodon is only going to get better after spotting one ‘top’ player in training.

Joe Rodon thinks new Leeds United star Jaka Bijol is ‘top’
Of course, as good as Rodon is, he’ll need a centre-back partner, and it seems as though the 49ers’ business for Jaka Bijol has been inspired.
The Slovenian has come in and already impressed as Tony Dorigo is ‘delighted’ with Bijol after his performance against Man United, and there’s plenty more for the centre-back to show.
Rodon and Bijol will only improve each other, and after a solid first 45 minutes together, Leeds won’t be an easy team to roll over.
Speaking to Leeds Live, the Welsh centre-back was full of praise for his centre-back partner, labelling the main ‘qualities’ he brings to the table.
“He’s a very physical defender and also very comfortable on the ball,” Rodon said.
“His qualities allow him to be top, top centre-half.”

Brilliant Bijol statistic stood out for Leeds vs Man United
For £15m, Rodon knows that Leeds have been given a bargain by Udinese.
Bijol is fuming he’ll miss the Premier League opener, but it just means Daniel Farke can show more of him throughout pre-season.
This is good news to Leeds fans who already seem impressed by the 26-year-old, as alongside Rodon’s leadership, Bijol is also a leader, but he also brings an excellent trait to the fold.
This was seen against Man United, as Bijol showed off his excellent passing in the 0-0 draw.
| Jaka Bijol’s statistics in 0-0 draw vs Man United | |
| Minues played | 45 |
| Passing accuracy % | 97% |
| Accurate long balls % | 100% (2/2) |
| Recoveries | 2 |
| Aerial duels won % | 100% |
With this considered, the perfect dynamic is being created in Farke’s defence, as these two will be crucial to Leeds’ staying up this season.
