Illan Meslier didn’t cover himself in glory against Swansea City, and the Leeds United hierarchy might have just had enough.
It always seemed even before the Swansea game that Leeds’ number one was going to be under scrutiny, but his errors haven’t helped matters.
Daniel Farke has also come into the firing line for persisting with the Frenchman, as Farke defended Meslier.
This has left Leeds fans feeling extremely restless and demanding a change, but it doesn’t look like the German is going to budge on Meslier’s status in the squad.
Well, if Farke had listened to a prediction made about the keeper, Leeds could be home and dry by now.

Prediction on Illan Meslier has now come true at Leeds United
It could’ve been a day of glory for Meslier after he saved Josh Tymon’s penalty early on, but the Frenchman went from hero to zero.
The fanbase are all aligned with what they want Farke to do, as Meslier has been called a ‘problem’ at Leeds.
The keeper is a problem that needs to be distinguished, but with Farke being in charge, he’s the only one who can make this decision.
His future at Elland Road is no doubt up in the air, but Meslier could’ve avoided this season’s horror show completely.
Former Leeds goalkeeping coach Marcos Abad advised Meslier to leave Leeds, but Meslier chose instead to ignore the advice as Abad claimed ‘every single action is going to be analysed very deeply’ and that it’s ‘not healthy’.
Well, it’s safe to say Abad got it spot on, and that’s certainly going to be the case in the remaining seven games.

Leeds’ asking price for Meslier has taken a hit
With it probably best for both player and club that Meslier exits Leeds this summer, a fee will have to be considered.
The 25-year-old is still at an age where he’s far from his prime as a goalkeeper and also still has a contract till the summer of 2026.
This will ultimately mean the 49ers will be after a solid fee for the keeper even after a series of blunders this season, but that Swansea game may now have impacted a decent fee coming in.
Meslier’s asking price was £20m+, which could now be deemed too high, but Leeds won’t have a choice if they want to get rid this summer.
It’s not an ideal situation for all parties concerned, as Meslier’s six-season stay has no doubt been tarnished.
