Daniel Farke will be under an enormous amount of pressure, but he hasn’t made it easy for himself.

Leeds United were almost there, and it seemed like the gates to the Premier League were ready and waiting.

But after one win in five games, the whole picture has changed in the Championship, as Leeds are predicted to scrape promotion.

Fans might not even believe automatic promotion is even likely now as the Whites can’t afford any more slip-ups that sees them playing in the play-offs.

To get Leeds back on the right track, Farke must find a solution to this serious ‘problem’ at the club.

Daniel Farke needs to amend ‘problem’ at Leeds United quickly

The fall-off from Leeds has been no fault but their own, as Farke can’t really use the excuse of injuries.

Captain Ethan Ampadu has been a huge loss, but the overall core of the team has remained intact.

This one decision Farke keeps making however is costing Leeds massively, as Illan Meslier will suffer after mistakes for Leeds.

The Frenchman had a horror show and after speaking to talkSPORT (31/03/25) Ally McCoist and Jeff Stelling both agree Farke needs to make a change.

“What Karl Darlow is thinking, I don’t know?” Stelling said.

“He’s sitting on the bench, and it seems as though whatever he (Meslier) does, he can’t get a start.

“When his confidence is shot away, I think you have to make a change.”

McCoist was in agreement, saying: “He’s a problem, and he’s been a problem for a while sadly.”

Whatever happens now Meslier doesn’t have a future at Leeds

Those errors from the Leeds goalkeeper may have just put the nail in the coffin.

Although Farke is remaining adamant that Meslier will see out the season in net, his future at Elland Road is looking gloomy.

Aidy White wants Meslier dropped, and that seems to be the overall consensus, but Farke won’t change now.

Farke has put his job on the line with this call with his future still to play for, but Meslier has had one too many mistakes.

The Frenchman now has nothing to lose, so all he can do is his best, but you’d be very surprised if he remained at the club, no matter what happens next season.
