Everyone around Leeds United will be celebrating for a few weeks now after an incredible season.

Daniel Farke has earned his stay at Elland Road after a fantastic end to the season has seen the Whites beat off the competition to the Premier League.

Not only this, but to win the title in dramatic fashion, courtesy of Manor Solomon, was some way to top off the campaign.

It’s clear that Paraag Marathe loves Farke’s belief, and that’s been pivotal to the German retaining his place.

Now he has the opportunity to kick on, but Jamie Vardy has put a dampener on Leeds’ promotion.

Jamie Vardy explains worry for Daniel Farke and Leeds United

With the top flight beckoning, the challenge only increases for the Leeds hierarchy and Farke.

Marathe is trusting Farke with transfers and will be hoping he can bring in some exciting faces to Yorkshire.

It’s clear that Marathe needs to stick with Leeds’ £100m transfer plan, as Relegated Premier League sides had to spend £100m, and they couldn’t even retain their status.

Well, one of the relegated players in Vardy, has spoken on Match Of The Day (03/05/25) about the increasing gap between the leagues, highlighting the worry for Leeds.

“It’s been one of those seasons,” Vardy said.

“If I’m honest, I would probably say the gap from getting promoted into the Prem now is probably as big as what it ever has been, so it’s even more difficult.”

Vardy can help Leeds with Premier League stay

Coincidentally, the veteran Premier League striker can actually play his part in helping the Whites next season.

It’s become apparent that Vardy could join Leeds if Patrick Bamford decides to leave in what would be a major signing.

Simon Grayson wants Vardy, and it seems like the fans would agree on the 38-year-old moving to Elland Road.

Of course his age rings up alarm bells, but his performance in the top flight this season shows he still has the ability to compete, especially in what could be a struggling Leeds team next season.

It’s a strong option that could be available to Farke and he should certainly explore it.

But the more worrying factor is that Leeds will need much more than the experience of Vardy next season.
