Reported Leeds United target Joaquin Piquerez has admitted that he would one day love to come and play in Europe.
Leeds were linked with a move for the Palmeiras left-back all the way back in August but were told he was not for sale due to their desire not to let anyone else leave.
These reports were then backed up in October with Palmeiras in the midst of a title race in the Brazilian Serie A, which they have since gone onto win earlier this month.
Having lifted the title Piquerez has spoken about his future in an interview with ESPN Brazil, where he claimed while he would like to win more titles at Palmeiras, Europe is his dream.
He said: “I want to keep growing, I’m happy at Palmeiras, I have the dream of playing in Europe, but I enjoy the present and I want to keep winning titles for Palmeiras.”
Leeds sent to enter left-back market
Leeds are sent to enter the market for a left-back next month with Daniel Farke all but confirming one would be signed in his press conference on Monday.
Sam Byram is expected to be out until the New Year with a hamstring injury, while Junior Firpo is also on the sidelines with the same issue.

While two players for one position would usually be enough, neither have particularly reliable fitness records. Firpo has also been linked with a move away from Leeds next month.
Whether Piquerez is the one Leeds look to target, though, is another question, with Angus Kinnear having previously suggested the loan market is where they will focus.
However, he has now seemingly opened the door for someone like Leeds to come and make their move, and with the season in Brazil over, it could be the right time to move on.
