Daniel Svensson has already dropped a big hint over his future with Leeds United named as suitors

Leeds United’s transfer business doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere but Daniel Svensson has emerged on the Whites’ radar once again.

Svensson was originally targeted by Leeds in November as the left-back has returned on Leeds’ list.

The Whites are set to face competition for his signature as Leeds and Leipzig are now both interested in Svensson.

Daniel Farke may be interested in adding the 22-year-old to his ranks due to his position potentially providing the depth needed in those areas.

Svensson’s future is up in the air at Danish outfit Nordsjaelland but did comment back in October about a potential move in January.

Daniel Svensson dropped a big hint on future with Leeds United interested

A couple of months ago, Svensson received interest from the likes of Liverpool as well as Leeds’ pursuit of the young full-back.

With this interest, the 22-year-old spoke to the Swedish outlet fotbollskanalen about the recent links and what it means for his future at current club Nordsjaelland.

“I’m in the fifth season now. The idea is that I will move on relatively soon anyway. It’s certainly not impossible (A January exit), but it might happen that I play the whole season and then move on,” Svensson said.

“The club has said that they want to keep certain players for the rest of the season, and I seem to be one of those players. It is likely that I will stay for the rest of the season.

“I have played many seasons in Denmark and especially towards the end it has gone well. I’m absolutely ready (to move on).”

Leeds target Svensson is ‘every coach’s dream’

The Swedish defender is already a promising prospect and can add to Farke’s search for a full-back at Leeds.

It’s been a quiet window as promised at Leeds but can the pursuit of Svensson appear as a late spark for the Whites.

They may double down their interest after Nordsjaelland boss, Jens Olsen, said Svensson is ‘every coach’s dream’ to the Danish newspaper, Tipsbladet, which could prove to be pivotal for Farke in terms of adding Svensson’s character to his Leeds side.

Whilst Liverpool have now gone quiet, Leeds could use this opportunity to fend off Leipzig and secure a special talent in their squad.
