Daniel Farke is under enormous pressure and will be looking to survive as Leeds United manager over the course of the next 24 hours. But if the 49ers see one key stat, he is surely doomed.
Any sympathy for Farke has dissipated into thin air. He might not have got the attacking reinforcements he pleaded for publicly, and that earned him time, but Farke’s in-game decisions of late are costing Leeds.
The pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke… should Leeds United sack him?⌛
Fans have grown both wise and fed up to Farke’s reactive nature, with the Leeds manager caught reeling from his opposite number’s proactiveness in defeat to both Nottingham Forest and then Aston Villa.
Sean Dyche made changes, and it changed the game, with Leeds having taken the lead. It resulted in a 3-1 loss. Against Villa, Unai Emery made changes at half-time. They worked, and it left Farke reeling.

How Farke compares to Leeds’ other Premier League managers
Paraag Marathe has a decision to make. LeedsUnited.News understands that the 49ers are “constantly assessing” Farke’s position, and while a knee-jerk decision isn’t expected, they are aware fans are restless.
If Marathe stumbles across a stat doing the rounds on social media, he will surely be left with no decision but to remove Farke. That is that Farke is statistically Leeds’ worst manager in the Premier League.
| Manager | Spell | PL PPG |
| David O’Leary | Oct 98 – Jun 02 | 1.79 |
| Harold Wilkinson | Oct 88 – Sep 96 | 1.44 |
| George Graham | Sep 96 – Oct 98 | 1.40 |
| Marcelo Bielsa | Jun 2018 – Feb 22 | 1.28 |
| Terry Venables | Jul 02 – Mar 03 | 1.13 |
| Peter Reid | Mar 03 – Nov 03 | 1.05 |
| Jesse Marsch | Feb 22- Feb 23 | 1.03 |
| Javi Gracia | Feb 23 – May 23 | 1.00 |
| Eddie Gray | Nov 03 – May 04 | 0.96 |
| Daniel Farke | 2023-present | 0.92 |
Among the 10 managers who have been in charge for five or more Premier League games at Elland Road, Farke is even worse than Jesse Marsch and Javi Gracia, who managed 31 of the 38 matches back in 22-23.
What is the feeling among Leeds fans on Daniel Farke’s position?
If it wasn’t already clear from the Forest defeat that Leeds fans wanted Farke out, those in the West Stand made it clear at full-time on Sunday. Leeds fans chanted “you don’t know what you’re doing” to Farke.
That came after Leeds fans sung “make a sub” towards the dugout, to try and coax some life out of the beleaguered Whites manager. It took until the 68th minute for Farke to finally make some substitutions.
Clearly, supporters have had enough. Most are fed up and many believe that with Farke in the dugout, Leeds will be relegated come the end of the season. The Elland Road support is Leeds’ biggest weapon.
If Marathe wants to keep fans on side and retain any kind of faith in Premier League survival, then he has to listen to the supporters and make a change before he loses the supporters, and Leeds are relegated.
