The pressure is now massive on Daniel Farke. Another defeat for Leeds United on Sunday afternoon came in the form of a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa, despite taking the lead in the first half.
Farke’s future as Leeds manager was under the microscope before the game. LeedsUnited.News is under the impression that Farke will be given until January, but with every defeat comes more intense pressure.
The pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke… should Leeds United sack him?⌛
Lukas Nmecha’s controversial goal had given Leeds fans hope, but a Morgan Rogers brace saw Leeds lose 2-1 at full-time. A fifth defeat in six games, and a second home defeat of the season at Elland Road.
The coming 48 hours will show if the 49ers are going to stick with Farke or make a change. But it is clear that large sections of the fanbase want Farke gone now, and that was proved at full-time at Elland Road.

Leeds fans damning in their full-time verdict of Daniel Farke
As is the way at full-time, the Leeds players applauded the home support, but it was in front of the West Stand that Farke’s eyes will have been opened. Even the calmest of characters won’t like what he heard.
Graham Smyth reported on X that while there were sections of the support that did offer some applause for the players, fans sang “you don’t know what you’re doing” towards the Leeds manager at full-time.
Smyth reported on his X channel: “West Stand applauds as the players and Farke walk round. The Kop has a mix of applause and boos. Some chant ‘you don’t know what you’re doing.'”
Will the 49ers sack Leeds, and the problem Leeds now have…
The issue Leeds now have with hiring a new manager, and replacing Farke, is that they aren’t going to find a manager who can provide the club with a bounce. Leeds next face Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Mixed messages involving Daniel Farke after the Aston Villa loss…
There is every chance that Leeds opt to remove Farke. There were times against Aston Villa where it was toxic, especially with fans singing “make a sub” towards the gaffer. But, who would want to come in?
If the next run of games were perhaps Burnley, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, and Brighton, teams Leeds have lost to, then a manager might be more tempted. But right now, it feels like Leeds will stick with him.
Leeds are next in action when they go to The Etihad to face Man City next Saturday, before two tough games at Elland Road against Chelsea and Liverpool. All three games come in the space of a week.
