The turnaround is a quick one and Daniel Farke has been speaking to the media just 24 hours after Leeds United’s win over Sheffield Wednesday, ahead of Wednesday’s clash against Norwich City.
Norwich’s trip to Elland Road represents Daniel Farke’s sixth game against his old side having faced The Canaries on four occasions last season. Twice in the normal Championship season, twice in the play-offs.
Leeds are sitting pretty at the top of the Championship after Sunday’s 3-0 win and Chris Waddle thinks Leeds will finish in the top two. But, with 19 games left, there is still plenty left to play for to be promoted.
With Norwich up next, Farke will already be without Pascal Struijk and Patrick Bamford. Bamford is set to return at the end of the month while Struijk is out until February – and now, two more could join them.

Daniel Farke says if Brenden Aaronson is okay to face Norwich
In his post-match Sheffield Wednesday comments, Farke confirmed Aaronson had picked up an ankle knock. However, he lasted until the 90th minute before the USA star was replaced by Josuha Guilavogui.
Speaking on Monday, Farke gave a further update. He said the £25m man’s ankle is not too bad but it will be a late decision if Aaronson can be a part of the squad that face Norwich on Wednesday at Elland Road.
“It looked okay today. He got a hit against his ankle. It will be a late call with him. Nothing major so far to confirm, but a late decision if he is available or not. Carefully optimistic, but it still will be a late decision.”
Daniel Farke less confident with Manor Solomon’s hamstring
Like Aaronson, Solomon played the majority of Sunday’s win. He scored Leeds’ first goal before coming off on 83 minutes and since then, the Israel star has been complaining about his hamstring on Monday.
Farke confirmed again that Solomon is a doubt to take on Norwich on Wednesday night, a side that were beaten by Leeds’ promotion rivals Sheffield United on Saturday. Farke says Solomon is a 50-50 option.
“Also a doubt, he was complaining of some hamstring problems he felt at the end of the game. I have to assess him a bit more, bit doubtful if he is available. He is 50-50, we will know on Wednesday morning.”
Leeds lack cover to replace Aaronson and even if he is only 80% fit, you imagine Farke will start the USA ace. He’s started the last 25 league games, but Largie Ramazani’s form could allow him to rest Solomon.
