Leeds United are back in Championship action as they face Hull City at the KCM Stadium just three days after their dramatic 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.

The Whites will have to respond to a frustrating draw at Elland Road after they dropped two points to a late Danny Batth goal and try an capitalise on promotion rivals’ recent poor form.

In the reverse fixture against Hull City, it turned out to be a fairly comfortable 2-0 win in the end for Leeds, courtesy of second-half goals from Mateo Joseph, and Joel Piroe who scored from the bench.

Daniel Farke expects a ‘tricky’ encounter against the Tigers despite Ruben Selles’ side sitting in the relegation zone. Below, LeedsUnited.News predicts Farke’s starting lineup which could see five changes.

Daniel Farke forced into Sam Byram change after Blackburn draw

Despite Farke hoping to have Sam Byram available to him, the Leeds boss may opt to start the full-back on the bench.

Byram was brought off at half-time against Blackburn having been struggling with a cold and Farke claimed Byram looked ‘pale’ at half-time.

The full-back has started the last six games for the Whites and judging by his fitness/injury record, Farke will probably make the wise choice to rest him, seeing Max Wober come back into the starting lineup after his recovery from an injury.

Farke could see as many as four other swaps with Leeds still in a hectic period of the season, and there could be a large turnover in attacking changes.

The four other changes Daniel Farke could make for Hull City trip

Leeds have been rotating a lot this season when it comes to their attacking options and the same could be set to happen on Saturday.

Joel Piroe came off just under 70 minutes in against Blackburn and after starting four of the last five games, this could present Mateo Joseph with the opportunity to start.

Not only has he started one in five but the 21-year-old could be more suited to a fast-paced counter against a weak Hull City side, who have seven first-team players out.

The rotation looks likely to continue with Dan James having a mediocre showing against Blackburn which means Wilfried Gnonto takes his place back on the right, as for the other wing, there was plenty of controversy surrounding Farke’s decision to take off Solomon against Blackburn

Farke could opt to rest the Tottenham loanee, this is because Largie Ramazani wasn’t involved at all in the Blackburn fixture which will give Solomon some much-needed rest after a busy Christmas period.

The fifth and final change is up for debate but could see Ethan Ampadu return to the lineup in place of Joe Rothwell after starting on the bench against Blackburn and provide some much-needed defensive cover in midfield.

Five changes for Leeds then: Starting XI: Illan Meslier, Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Max Wober, Ao Tanaka, Ethan Ampadu, Wilfried Gnonto, Brendan Aaronson, Largie Ramazani, Mateo Joseph.
