Daniel Farke was full of praise for his Leeds United side after the 2-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.
Farke has been forced to navigate an extremely difficult start to the season but saw his side produce a really good performance to earn their first victory of the campaign.
The Leeds boss was becoming more and more visibly frustrated at the constant questions regarding the lack of signings in recent weeks, which has not been helped by failing to win either of their first three matches.
However, Largie Ramazani’s arrival from UD Almeria ended Leeds’ 32-day wait for an incoming, and it just felt like an instant mood lifter for the supporters.
To then follow that up with a comfortable win against their Yorkshire neighbours means confidence should now be high, with a potentially busy few days to come in the window.

Farke hails Mateo Joseph performance as ‘perfect’
There were a number of impressive performers for Leeds on the night with Brenden Aaronson and Dan James both stealing the headlines for their goals.
Jayden Bogle produced his best display in a Leeds shirt, Pascal Struijk won almost every defensive header and Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl hailed Wilfried Gnonto as ‘unbelievable’.
However, speaking in his post-match press conference, it was the performance of Mateo Joseph that left Farke very pleased after the game.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Joseph was named man of the match by Sky Sports, which shows just how good his link-up play and movement was on the night.
Joseph’s assist for James was also one of the best passes anyone will see all season and Farke believes he delivered the ‘perfect’ performance.
He said: “Joseph was excellent today, he was perfect, perfect assist his work rate. His first few passes were over excited and he should have hit the target. He deserves praise but we need to be careful. There is still much work to do, on set pieces. Under these circumstances it was a mature performance.”
What Dan James said about Joseph post-match
The only thing missing from Joseph’s start to the season is a goal and he will be gutted he did not finish that chance off he had in the second half.
However, it is important he remembers exactly what he is contributing to the team and speaking after the match, James was fill of praise for Joseph’s overall game.
He said: ”Yeah, I think it’s a great pass. He is not scoring, but he is always contributing to goals, involved in both goals today. Great goalscorer as well.
“You will see that over time. Even when he is not scoring, he is assisting. He is contributing to plays, he is holding the ball up, and he has been brilliant. Try and continue it.”
