Largie Ramazani has sent a message to Leeds United supporters on Instagram following confirmation of his move from UD Almeria.

Ramazani became signing number five of the summer on Thursday evening after putting pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old has been signed as the man to replace Crysencio Summerville at Leeds and so certainly has big boots to fill once he becomes available for selection.

Arriving for just under £10 million including add-ons, Ramazani looks like a solid coup for Leeds in the Championship, with former Whites defender Jason Pearce labelling him one of the best talents he’s ever seen.

Pearce coached him for a brief period during Ramazani’s time in Charlton Athletic’s youth academy, before he moved to Manchester United and then onto Almeria.

Ramazani sends Instagram message to Leeds fans

Ramazani’s arrival signalled the end of a 32-day wait for a signing at Leeds and has certainly raised the mood among supporters after a difficult few weeks.

He is expected to be one of four signings made during this final week of the window, as Leeds finally work to replace outgoings such as Georginio Rutter and the aforementioned Summerville.

Ramazani has certainly come across well during his first few hours as a Leeds player, noticeably greeting every member of staff he came across with a handshake during the club’s YouTube video documenting his first day.

What’s more, in Almeria’s official Tweet announcing his departure, Ramazani also got a very nice parting message and so that is hopefully a sign of the quality he has as a player and person.

And just under 24 hours after his signing was officially confirmed, Ramazani has sent a message to Leeds fans stating how pleased he is to be at Elland Road.

He wrote: “Very excited and proud to be part of this club. Can’t wait to get started and meet the incredible fans!! #MOT”

What could be following Ramazani in joining Leeds?

As mentioned previously, Leeds are still on the hunt for three more signings, with those positions being full-back, central midfield and attack.

Starting in defence, Leeds are in the market for some cover at left-back for Junior Firpo and have been linked with Liverpool’s Owen Beck recently.

A new attack-minded number eight is also on the list, though it looks increasingly unlikely Dejan Ljubicic will be joiningManchester United’s Hannibal Mejbri is an option too.

Finally, Leeds know how important it is to get Georginio Rutter’s replacement right and so have several options on their list, including Roland Sallai, Ilan Kebbal, Manuel Benson, Calvin Stengs and Manor Solomon.
