While there is plenty of frustration that Leeds United failed to beat a side in the bottom third of the table that had lost their last four games, the comeback draw at QPR takes Leeds to 80 points.
Factor in Leeds’ struggles at lunchtime and their recent difficulties when travelling to QPR, it is a solid point after Junior Firpo – or Morgan Fox – and Jayden Bogle managed to score goals to level the match.
Leeds fans will have been hoping for a win going into the game. Back on top with a 2-0 win over Millwall and playing before Burnley and Sheffield United, but Leeds failed to get the job done at Loftus Road.
That’s 80 points for Leeds now, with the possibility of 104 still on the cards. At this point last season, Leeds had 82 points but lost four of their last eight games, winning eight more and finishing on just 90.

‘Happy days’ if Leeds continue to win at home and draw away
Elland Road has been a fortress for Leeds this season. The Whites have the best home record in the Championship, winning 15 of 19 and clocking up a whopping 48 points – only losing once at home.
Just nine goals conceded during that time. So, following a solid-ish point at QPR, Farke said he would be delighted if Leeds won their four remaining home games and drew the other four – totalling 96 points.
“If you could guarantee me exactly like this, we win at home and draw away, we would be on a pretty good points tally. I wouldn’t sign it, but if we could manage to do this then happy days,” Farke said.
Who do Leeds have left to play at Elland Road, and away?
The international break now takes precedence with 13 Leeds players on their travels, even if Brenden Aaronson has been left behind. Isaac Schmidt has got a surprise call-up to Switzerland’s squad.
When The Whites return, Leeds face Swansea at Elland Road on March 29th before taking on Luton. Then there are games such as Middlesbrough, Preston, Oxford, Stoke, Bristol City and then Plymouth Argyle.
Leeds fell apart after the last March break but the quality of their remaining eight opposition surely hands Leeds every chance of accomplishing what they’ve set out to achieve, with 96 seemingly the target.
