Daniel Farke can afford to sit more comfortably in the hot seat at Leeds United as another contender for his role looks set to take another position.
A little over a month ago, Daniel Farke looked destined for the exit at Leeds after a run of four consecutive defeats, as part of a sequence of five defeats in six, left his side in the bottom three.
However, Leeds’ battling draw with Manchester United saw the Whites climb eight points clear of 18th place, easing the pressure on Farke’s role in the process.
Brendan Rodgers’ move to Saudi Arabia saw one of the leading contenders to replace Farke go off the market in a boost to the Leeds boss.
Now, former Bournemouth and Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is also on the verge of a new position, which would further ease the pressure on the Leeds boss.

O’Neil was the reported frontrunner to succeed Farke ahead of Leeds’ win over Chelsea, as the 49ers considered their options to succeed the German.
However, seven games and 11 points later, the pressure on Farke has eased, with Leeds having established a significant cushion on the bottom three.
Now, according to TalkSport, O’Neil is one of the leading contenders to replace Liam Rosenior as manager of Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.
Rosenior is expected to leave the club to join Chelsea following the departure of former Head Coach Enzo Maresca, creating a vacancy at the BlueCo-owned club.
The TalkSport report states that O’Neil is one of a three-man shortlist to take over at the side, who currently sit seventh in the Ligue 1 table.

Daniel Farke admits he has enjoyed his best month with Leeds United
Farke should take a lot of satisfaction from the way he has turned around Leeds’ form in recent weeks, as he has navigated the loss of star players such as Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon.
Speaking in his post-match press conference after the game against Man United, via Beanyman Sports, in which he criticised Lucas Perri for his role in the equalising goal, Farke admitted that the last month has been the best in his career as a Premier League manager
With his job at Leeds now seemingly secure, for the medium-term at least, Farke said: “In terms of points, it probably is [his best month in the Premier League], because I was just managing before Norwich, so I had really no chance to stay in this league.

“It’s my first season with Leeds United in the Premier League, so for that I can’t say anything else in terms of our outcome with points.
“It’s definitely very impressive what we have done, especially keeping in mind that a newly promoted side also struggles during such a busy period, missing some key players. And all the praise goes to the lads, what they’ve done in the last weeks is outstanding and long may it continue.”
