Roland Sallai and Gustavo Hamer appear to be Leeds United’s top two targets heading into deadline.
The Whites have moved quickly to strike agreements with both Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt and look as though they will be done in good time before the window shuts.
Tanaka could be wrapped up as quickly as this evening providing he has been given the all clear with a medical, though Schmidt is starting for what could be the final time for FC St Gallen tonight, which would take a deal into deadline day.
St Gallen face an away match at Trabzonspor in a crucial Europa Conference League qualifier and they have named him as part of the starting XI, despite his impending move.
Daniel Farke confirmed Leeds will remain on the lookout for more attacking reinforcements in his pre-Hull City press conference, with Sallai and Hamer the ones most heavily linked.

Sallai and Hamer to Leeds update
Leeds are reportedly still in talks over a £7.6 million deal with Freiburg for Sallai, who is out of contract at the German club next summer.
With Hamer, Leeds are said to have made a cash plus player deal that includes Joel Piroe, though sources at Elland Road have vehemently denied those claims.
As such, heading into deadline day, LeedsUnited.News have spoken exclusively to transfer expert Graeme Bailey regarding the state of play for both players.
Bailey says he has been told Leeds are still trying for a deal to sign Sallai before the deadline, with the Hungarian international someone they really want.
However, Hamer looks as though it will not be happening with Sheffield United clearly looking for a fee beyond that Leeds can pay.
He said: “I am told Leeds still trying for Sallai – they want him…Hamer I don’t believe happens…”
Sallai would be the better deal for Leeds
While Hamer would be a serious statement both in terms of his quality, and the fact he plays for a promotion rival, Sallai would be the better deal.
Hamer is going to cost an extortionate fee for this level and clearly Sheffield United are going to have a difficult time replacing him at such a late stage in the window, making it even more unlikely they sell.
With that in mind, Leeds should instead push the boat out for Sallai, who could be available for just £7.6 million and provide as much quality as Hamer.
Freiburg seem considerably more open to selling than Sheffield United and so hopefully Leeds really focus their attention on the Hungarian.
