Leeds United failed to sign anybody on deadline day, including Emi Buendia from Aston Villa.
Daniel Farke has been trying to reunite with his former Norwich City talisman Emi Buendia at Leeds United for some time now.
Leeds tried to sign Buendia last January and again this summer. On deadline day, it was even reported that Leeds United had a loan bid rejected for Buendia, also failing to sign Harry Wilson before the deadline too.
But Farke is coping well without that extra attacking signing. Last time out, Leeds United beat Wolves 3-1 away from home and now find themselves in 12th place of the Premier League table.

Leeds United thrive, but Emi Buendia’s Aston Villa are poor
After five games of the season most would’ve expected Leeds United to be somewhere in the bottom three, and many others might have expected Aston Villa to be the ones holding their own in mid-table. But it’s the opposite.
Unai Emery’s Villa have just one win to their name so far this season and have scored just the one goal in their opening five Premier League games. Leeds United have seven points on the board and now have four goals to their name after the Wolves win.
Buendia has unexpectedly played his way back into contention at Villa Park having featured in all five league games so far, starting three of them including the 1-1 draw against Sunderland last time out.
Aston Villa fans have had enough of Emi Buendia
Whilst Emery might have seen a change in Buendia’s game, the Villa fans have not. Posting online after the Sunderland game, Aston Villa supporters had plenty to say about Buendia but all of it was negative.
“I love Emi Buendia but he’s just not been it at the top level sadly,” wrote one, as another added: “Why is Buendia in the team when surplus last season?”
Others weighed in, too, posting: “Buendia starting is a joke,” and also: “How is Buendia still on the pitch! Absolutely dreadful.”
This Villa fan even joked: “Buendia must be unbelievably good in training to keep Harvey Elliot on the bench.”
Leeds next play Bournemouth whilst Buendia’s Villa face Bologna in the Europa League in midweek.
