Crysencio Summerville’s imminent move to West Ham United came out of the blue at the start of the week and now, the Leeds United star is on the brink of completing an exit.

Plenty of Premier League clubs have been linked with the 22-year-old Championship Player of the Season this summer, but the Dutch star’s valuation has made it difficult for any clubs to land the Leeds winger.

But Leeds squad returned from their Germany training camp on Monday and the Hammers sprung into action. Fabrizio Romano reported that terms had been agreed with Summerville at the start of the week.

Then, Ben Jacobs said that Leeds and West Ham had agreed a fee of £25m plus add-ons. Those add-ons are expected to be worth £9m, £5m of which is performance related and £4m for a Netherlands cap.

Whispers of a late twist in West Ham move for Summerville

With a medical completed on Thursday, Florian Plettenberg reported last night that there were still issues to be sorted between West Ham and Summerville and indeed, the Hammers and Leeds regarding a fee.

Plettenberg reports that there is a sticking point between whether a deal will be for four or five years, and there is not a total agreement on the overall fee. But it is not expected to scupper a deal for Summerville.

He is still expected to join West Ham and a deal should be done in time for Summerville to join his new teammates on their pre-season camp in the United States. Now, an update on when it will be completed.

Graham Smyth shares when Leeds expect deal to be done

The Yorkshire Evening Post writer reports in his latest piece that Leeds sources have confirmed to him that a deal should be done before the close of play on Friday. It sees Leeds rubber stamp a seventh sale.

With Archie Gray, Glen Kamara, Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, Charlie Cresswell and Kris Klaesson all exiting permanently, Leeds are said to have raked in north of £80m – while only spending little over £15m so far.

But after a four-year stint at Elland Road, Leeds are set to sell their no.10 and there will be an expectancy among fans to bring in a replacement on the left. Even with Brenden Aaronson impressing in pre-season.
