West Ham United are set to complete the signing of Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville this week in a move that would see the Hammers pay £25m up front, and more in add-ons.
The 22-year-old Championship Player of the Season looks set to become Leeds’ seventh permanent sale of the summer, with The 49ers already rubber stamping moves for Archie Gray, Glen Kamara and more.
Plenty of Premier League clubs have shown interest in the Dutchman, but it is West Ham who have made their move to land the pocket-sized ace after having a hand in 31 goals in all competitions last season.
It sees Leeds rake in a combined total of almost £85m with Summerville set to cost an initial £25m fee. The reports say add-ons will also be included on top of the £25m figure, but it is unclear what they are.

Details of add-ons in Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville deal emerges
Leeds Live have now shed some light on what Leeds fans can expect on top of the initial £25m fee for the winger. They say Leeds could receive a total of £9m more in add-ons, taking an overall fee to a big £34m.
However, the add-ons are split into two sections. The first, worth a total of £5m, is performance-related add-ons. That is expected to be in terms of the goals he scores for West Ham, and appearances made.
The remaining £4m will be paid to Leeds when Summerville earns his first Netherlands cap. Something that has long been on the radar for Summerville, a regular in his country’s U21 side during his Leeds spell.

A total fee of £34m is good business from Leeds and The 49ers
There has been some anger from Leeds fans on social media regarding the sale of Summerville. Some feel the £25m initial fee is not enough for a player that won the second-tier’s Player of the Season award.
Some are angry as they had been led to believe the club did not need to sell any more of its best players after the £40m departure of Gray. But here we are, with Summerville set to undergo a West Ham medical.
But with the added £4m after a Netherlands cap very attainable and the possibility of £5m more in add-ons under the title of performance-related, then it does take a fee to a huge £34m which is justifiable.
