Next on Leeds United’s radar this transfer window is Feyenoord’s electric winger Igor Paixao.

Despite all hope looking lost as Marseille looked to have signed Paixao, all is not over yet for Leeds.

Paixao’s agent revealed nothing is ‘done’ and Daniel Farke and the 49ers will now have to double down on the Brazilian.

It’s unclear what the 25-year-old’s preference is, but previously, Paixao stated he’s open to a Leeds move.

With this in mind, the Leeds hierarchy have a few tricks up their sleeves to try and land the Brazilian this summer.

What Leeds United are doing to try ‘lure’ Igor Paixao to Elland Road

The structure in Farke’s squad has been built; midfield signings and defensive signings look to be excellent pieces of business from the owners.

But now the attack needs freshening up, and Paixao would automatically provide that threat to the opposition.

As the Whites look to fend off Roberto De Zerbi’s side for his signature, it won’t be easy, but Leeds have their ways of winning transfer battles.

Paixao has been ‘fully approved’, and the hierarchy will do anything to get his transfer sorted, and according to Leeds Live, they’re going to great lengths to do so.

Sources have outlined that they are impressed by the Brazilian’s character and feel he would add another fresh dynamic to the current wing options, with the hierarchy using the example of Raphinha as a means to ‘lure’ him.

Previously, Paixao has called Raphinha his role model, so this could quite easily work, but another way they are doing this is through elements such as TV viewing figures and recordings of crowd atmosphere to try and convince the Brazilian of the project.

Where Paixao would rank in Leeds’ all-time signings with £30m deal

It can’t be stressed how much the board and fans want this signing, as the next Raphinha could be firmly on the cards.

The Brazilian can be the key in keeping Leeds in the Premier League, and after their early business, they’re going the right way about this.

Feyenoord want £30m for Paixao, which would make him not only a major signing this summer, but he becomes part of Leeds’ history.

Leeds’ most expensive signings of all-time (If Paixao is signed)
Georginio Rutter£35m
Igor Paixao£30m
Brendan Aaronson£28m
Rodrigo£27m
Dan James£25m

It’s a signing that needs to happen, and if it does, Paixao’s arrival will be monumental.
