The battle for Igor Paixao’s signature goes on with Leeds United and Marseille both vying for his signature this summer, and now it has emerged how much Leeds are willing to pay.
Paixao is Leeds’ no.1 target to replace Manor Solomon on the left flank after Leeds waved goodbye to the on-loan Tottenham man. Solomon has opted to return to Spurs rather than sign permanently at Leeds.
Jack Harrison has returned and is on course to win his place back under Daniel Farke. But that could all change if Leeds choose to bring in a new left-sided winger to rival Ramazani, and Paixao is a key target.
However, Leeds have been forced to wait in the wings. Marseille’s transfer team are hard at work as they try to tempt Feyenoord to reduce Paixao’s £30m price tag. Marseille have held talks for Paixao this week.

How much Leeds are willing to pay to sign Igor Paixao
Paixao is said to have agreed personal terms with Marseille, but that means nothing if Marseille cannot agree a fee with Feyenoord. It is believed Roberto De Zerbi’s side have tabled an offer worth £24m.
Of course, that is well below Feyenoord’s asking price. According to French outlet Foot01, Leeds are willing to splash more than £26m on Paixao, but continue to wait for a result from Marseille’s talks.
If Leeds spend £26m to sign Paixao, it would see the Brazilian become Leeds’ third biggest transfer ever, behind only Rodrigo Moreno and Georginio Rutter. Leeds are using Raphinha to convince Paixao.

What Liverpool scouts thought of Igor Paixao when watching him
Paixao’s form has not only caught the eye of Leeds and Marseille. Arsenal were linked with Paixao earlier this summer, while Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Paixao, a player that Arne Slot signed in 2022.
Liverpool scouts were impressed with Paixao, who had a hand in 37 goals and assists for Feyenoord last season. The issue is, he has a contract at Feyenoord until 2029, meaning Feyenoord are comfortable.
But Leeds and Marseille are the front runners and it remains to be seen if Marseille will find an agreement, or Leeds will get a chance to try and tempt the Brazilian into a move to the Premier League this summer.
