Leeds United are in a solid position of the transfer window with three signings ready for the Premier League.

It seems as though Daniel Farke and the 49ers are trying to get ahead of their fellow competitors.

With the budget set and signings happening, Paraag Marathe is finally delivering after quiet windows in the past.

The Premier League will provide a whole different ball game as physicality is what is needed and after the Whites’ opening signings they’ve done this to a tee.

Added to this is leadership as Jaka Bijol will lead in Farke’s squad, but other types of players are needed at Leeds, and one target has got the Pele stamp of approval.

A position the Whites will need improvements from is their wide areas.

Farke will no doubt still want Manor Solomon to return but he might have to accept the Israeli will stay.

However, Solomon could still leave Tottenham, so it’s certainly one to keep an eye on, but another option on the table is Timothy Weah.

Weah is on many clubs’ radar, including the 49ers’, as the USA international could be looking for a move this summer.

His price tag has been made clear as Weah could sign for £13m, and after what Brazil Legend Pele said in 2022, Farke should definitely look to continue Leeds’ pursuit.

Pele praised Weah after the striker combined with Christian Pulisic to put the US ahead in a 1-1 draw against Wales in their first group stage game at the 2022 World Cup, in a team that also included Leeds’ own Brenden Aaronson.

The Brazilian icon commented on Weah’s Instagram, saying: “Congratulations. It was a beautiful goal. Keep dreaming, dreams come true.”

Weah can give Farke the ultimate right-side weapon at Leeds

Farke has started to bring in stronger, more physical players, but a player like Weah can also come in handy.

The absence of a right-winger is there for all to see, but the American can offer more than that.

Not only is he the traditional right-sided attacker, but Weah can occupy a role in Farke’s attacking right-back role, and doesn’t miss his chances when presented them.

Although he would likely be preferred in that winger position, there’s no reason why Farke couldn’t use Weah in a position that produced so many goals for Leeds.      

For £13m, Leeds won’t only get a brilliant versatile option but also one who has been praised by arguably the greatest footballer of all time.
