Tottenham now face ‘problematic’ Manor Solomon issue as Leeds United door swings open

Manor Solomon looked as though he would remain a Tottenham player this season but now Leeds United have a chance to sign him once more.

Solomon was a huge positive from the 49ers’ minimal summer business last campaign.

His loan spell could prove to be inspired, but there have been doubts over the Israeli winger returning.

This is due to Solomon’s desire to fight for his Tottenham place, as Thomas Frank’s appointment could provide him with a real opportunity.

Well, all might not be over on Leeds’ side of things as the 25-year-old could leave Spurs after all.

Leeds United door opens as Manor Solomon Tottenham issue arises

It’s become clear Leeds fans want Solomon signed as the forward gave Daniel Farke a player who was a level above the Championship.

To now bring him back to Elland Road whilst in the top flight would be the dream, but Spurs’ fortunes are making that difficult.

Their Europa League win in May helped them towards gaining a spot in the Champions League next season, which will have enticed the Israeli to remain in North London.

Although Frank likes Solomon, it may become the player’s choice, as an alarming factor must be pointed out.

This is because of Tottenham’s small group of homegrown players, meaning that registering the winger for the Champions League could prove to be problematic due to not meeting UEFA’s quota, which will therefore require some squad players to be sacrificed from the squad.

Leeds United door swings open for Solomon again

The impact he left on the club brings obvious reason why fans want him back.

Alongside scoring the all-important goal at Plymouth in the last minute to secure the Championship title, Solomon came up with some brilliant moments in Yorkshire.

His ability with ball carrying and providing a serious threat will be useful in the top flight, and Solomon would no doubt have a bigger role under Farke than he would under Frank.

It’s clear the Leeds hierarchy are ‘desperate’ to sign Solomon, and judging by Spurs’ Champions League problem, it gives the Whites every chance to land the winger.

There is now no reason for Solomon to stay under Frank’s new regime as without CL football on the table, Leeds can offer the same, if not more, with Premier League football, and a starting position.

The transfer is firmly back on the table, and fans shouldn’t give up hope yet.
