Leeds United will certainly jump at any signings that have Marcelo Bielsa’s approval this summer.
To learn from a man who scouted out the likes of Raphinha isn’t a bad way of finding hidden gems.
This is what Daniel Farke and the 49ers will be aiming to do, as many targets could be the perfect fit in the Premier League.
It’s been made clear that top-flight targets are the way to go for Leeds, as Nick Pope is on Leeds’ radar, adding that bit of experience.
Another Premier League target has been linked, and Bielsa couldn’t get enough of him back in 2020.

Marcelo Bielsa loves Leeds United target Dominic Calvert-Lewin
With two signings already through the door, there is expected to be plenty more of where that came from.
A starting forward is likely to be next on the list, as after Lukas Nmecha’s arrival, another striker will be joining Leeds.
It’s unknown who that will be, but Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin has appeared in Leeds’ plans.
The 28-year-old’s contract with Everton expires at the end of June, and Farke will definitely like the prospect of adding a striker of his experience to the squad.
Bielsa will agree with this possible transfer, as speaking after Leeds’ 1-0 win vs Everton in November 2020, the Argentine was full of praise for Calvert-Lewin despite stopping him from scoring.
“It’s not easy to neutralise him,” said Bielsa.
“The whole team made a big effort defensively to stop him, especially our centre-backs against him. But he had chances to score, and we worked so that the opportunities he had on goal would be difficult ones.
“But nonetheless, he was a player who was as dangerous as he usually is.”

Calvert-Lewin’s display in 2020 shows Leeds will be getting more than a goalscorer
Although the main thing Farke will be hoping for with a new striker is goals, off-the-ball work is equally as important in the top flight.
This is what Calvert-Lewin does to a tee, as despite his injury concerns, the 28-year-old works his socks off, along with some impressive finishes in front of goal.
In the 1-0 defeat with Raphinha grabbing the only goal, the fact that a mastermind like Bielsa still points out the striker after a win shows how much the former Whites boss admires him.
Jermaine Beckford will be backing Calvert-Lewin to join, and so will Leeds fans after looking at his numbers, even in a defeat without scoring.
| Calvert-Lewin in Everton 0-1 Leeds (28/11/20) | |
| Minutes played | 90 |
| Duels won | 12 (most in game) |
| Chances created | 2 |
| Tackles won | 100% |
| Passes into final third | 5 |
Farke seems happy with the striker, and Bielsa is a big fan, so it’s full steam ahead for the Whites with Calvert-Lewin.
