Leeds United fans are pondering what’s next after the club completed a deal to sign Jaka Bijol from Udinese. Leeds are expected to bring in a whole heap of new signings this summer.
Bijol arrives as the club’s second summer addition after already agreeing to a pre-contract arrangement with Lukas Nmecha. The Germany international’s two-year Leeds deal will become official on July 1.
Bijol, meanwhile, has signed a five-year deal and his £15m fee is seen as a real coup by many. But Leeds are expected to do more, and will need to, to stand any chance of surviving Premier League relegation.
A new goalkeeper, left-back, midfielder, no.10, left-winger and a starting striker are required at Elland Road this summer. Reports on Tuesday morning say Leeds have been in contact to sign an Everton player.

Jermaine Beckford said Dom Calvert-Lewin needed move, in 2024
It is reported that Leeds have held a secret phone call over a possible move for Dom Calvert-Lewin this summer. The England international is about to see his Everton contract expire and will be a free agent.
Speaking in 2024, Leeds icon Jermaine Beckford – who also played for Everton – told BBC Sport that he thinks Calvert-Lewin needs a “change of scenery” and had entered the comfort zone on Merseyside.
“He’s getting comfortable. That’s a scary and dangerous place to be, because you don’t realise you’re not giving 100% every single week. You feel like you are. But you’re not doing the things you used to do.
“He has been injured quite a bit and maybe that’s a part of it. Maybe even a change of scenery as well. Just to keep himself on his toes to get the best of himself, to believe in himself just that little bit more.”

What Leeds United are expected to do up front this summer
The feeling is that Leeds will make another signing up top, but it will be a striker that starts regularly. A big-money signing. Leeds have already seen a £32m bid rejected for Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.
Italian media say Leeds have held advanced talks for Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic, but that has been denied on these shores. Krstovic is not expected to be a target for Leeds as The Whites plan on signing a new striker.
With Nmecha on board, Leeds now have four options up top and movement is expected in terms of sales. Mateo Joseph wants to join Betis, while Birmingham City are also keen on Joseph and he is likely to go.
Patrick Bamford has a year left on his contract and Graham Smyth thinks Bamford will go, but the one-time England man has remained until now. It is possible that Leeds sign one more, and let two depart.
