Leeds United have all but wrapped up signing number four of the summer, if the words of his current manager are to be believed.
The Whites have slowly but surely been going about their business behind-the-scenes and arguably their most marquee arrival of the window is about to arrive.
Joe Rodon was signing number one and while his return after a loan spell was massive for the club, he was here last season and so is not a new face.
Alex Cairns, meanwhile, has simply come in as Leeds’ new third choice goalkeeper after the exit of Kristoffer Klaesson.
Joe Rothwell showed against Harrogate Town he has plenty to offer but at this stage, Leeds’ midfield isn’t any stronger for it following the losses of Glen Kamara and Archie Gray.

Chris Wilder makes Jayden Bogle Leeds admission
Right-back became a position of urgency for Leeds in recent weeks and it appears as though they have got their man.
Reports emerged this morning that Leeds have agreed a £5 million fee with Sheffield United over a deal for Jayden Bogle.
Bogle travelled to West Yorkshire to undergo a medical this morning and so was given permission to miss the Blades’ pre-season friendly at Chesterfield earlier today.
Speaking post-match, Blades boss Chris Wilder was asked about reports regarding Bogle’s future and confirmed he has played his last game for the club ahead of a move to Elland Road, one he was told the 23-year-old wanted to make this week.
Via the BBC, he said: “Yeah, he certainly has so that was one that was a disappointing one to lose but we move on. He ran his contract down so this is the difficult part of it, the position clubs get put into.
“Absolutely 100 per cent in an ideal world you don’t want players to run their contracts down but I can’t force him, can’t put a gun to his head and a pen in his hand to sign a contract at Sheffield United.
“He made it clear to me this week that he sees his future elsewhere, sees his future at Leeds United and we wish him all the best. When players do that, it’s about trying to get the best price possible for the football club.”
Bogle announcement imminent
Based on the length of time it took Rothwell to undergo a medical and complete his media duties, an announcement is now imminent.
Rothwell arrived at Thorp Arch in the morning ahead of his proposed loan switch from Bournemouth, which is exactly what Bogle did, if reports are to be believed.
Leeds are clearly keen to have him on the plane for the upcoming pre-season tour of Germany, too, so getting it wrapped up swiftly is in their best interests.
It is not beyond the realms of possibility that it is announced tonight, though if not, certainly on Sunday morning.
