With a whole host of Leeds United targets no longer available, it feels more and more likely that any activity at Elland Road on deadline day will involve Tottenham’s Manor Solomon.
Christantus Uche is set to sign for Crystal Palace, Bilal El Khannouss is on his way to Germany to sign for Stuttgart, Eduard Spertsyan has ruled out a late move and Facundo Buonanotte has chosen Chelsea.
Leeds’ options are dwindling. Dilane Bakwa scored and won a penalty for Strasbourg on Sunday and he remains an option but as the window edges nearer the deadline, more-expensive deals are less likely.
Manor Solomon wants a Premier League move, having returned to Spurs following his loan at Leeds last season. A hero at Leeds last season, Solomon had a hand in 23 goals and scored the title-clincher.

Leicester City throw a spanner in the works for Leeds United
Solomon might not get his wish, though. Graham Smyth suggests Solomon is not particularly high on Leeds’ radar on deadline day but surely, Leeds would prefer to sign Solomon rather than none at all.
However, there are other interested parties in the Israel star. Speaking to TalkSPORT on deadline day (01/09, 9.50AM), transfer reporter Ben Jacobs says Leicester City are showing interest in Solomon.
Ironically, The Foxes are looking to replace the loss of Bilal El Khannouss and could lure the Israel star back to the Championship: “Leicester City, still looking for a striker, Manor Solomon is being discussed.”

Other clubs showing interest in Manor Solomon on deadline day
So, Leeds and Leicester could reignite old promotion rivalry from 2023-24 and go head-to-head to land Solomon’s signature. If Leeds do move, it is easy to imagine Leeds would be on pole given his loan.
Solomon’s wife has been liking comments from Leeds fans on TikTok, urging Solomon to return to Leeds. But there are other clubs interested, with Solomon already rejecting a move to French giants Lyon.
Nottingham Forest are supposedly looking at Solomon, with a move to Aston Villa also discussed but no longer being pursued. Solomon’s future will be one that is up in the air, right up until the deadline.
