Leeds United’s pursuit of a new attacking signing in the final 30 hours of the window could see them end up with Manor Solomon, as the Tottenham man looks for an exit before the deadline.

Solomon is close to Leeds’ hearts after his crucial role in last season’s Championship title win. A total of 23 goals and assists for Daniel Farke’s side, including the winner at Plymouth to secure the league title.

Leeds fans wanted him signed and Solomon hinted at it. But it soon came to pass that Solomon was set for a return to Tottenham and Thomas Frank wanted to take a look at the Israel star before a decision.

Injury meant Solomon missed Tottenham’s trip to South Korea. He was back in the Tottenham squad to face Bournemouth on the weekend, but reports now say Solomon wants to join a Premier League side.

Solomon still on Leeds radar as Aston Villa choose against deal

LeedsUnited.News understands that Solomon remains an option with Tottenham willing to sell the former Fulham man for £20m. Now, a new report regarding Solomon, and it includes a few surprises.

Israeli outlet ONE say that Aston Villa considered a move for Solomon, but a move did not materialise. Elsewhere, there were talks with Ligue 1 side Lyon, but Solomon’s stance scuppered a move to France.

Indeed, Solomon wants to remain in the Premier League and that hands The Whites a fighting chance if they do go back in for the winger. However, Leeds are not alone in showing interest in Solomon.

Nottingham Forest could make shock Manor Solomon move

While it might have seemed obvious to many much earlier in the window, Solomon seems to have finally realised that he isn’t going to get much game time at Tottenham. Xavi Simons’ arrival ends any hope.

The report from ONE also states that Nottingham Forest are keeping tabs on Solomon’s situation and could make a move before the deadline on Monday. But if he is to go anywhere, Leeds will be favourites.

Whether Leeds do make a move, remains to be seen. Graham Smyth seems to suggest that Leeds see Solomon as a last resort in the last 30 hours of the window. Farke wants a player who offers versatility.
