Promotion to the Premier League is going to result in an incredibly exciting summer for Leeds United as The Whites will be tasked with building a side capable of achieving Premier League safety.
The 49ers are planning on making six major signings come the summer, if Daniel Farke can deliver a third career promotion from the Championship and possibly, a third title. Leeds currently sit in first position.
It is no coincidence that with Leeds now looking likely to secure promotion after a win over Preston and Sheffield United’s three-game losing streak, the club are being linked with signing high-profile players.
Germany international Julian Weigl is a target for Leeds and a possible reunion with boss Farke, while Ao Tanaka’s Japan teammate Hidemasa Morita is also being linked. Kyle Walker-Peters is also an option.

Tottenham now leading race to sign Leeds target Walker-Peters
It is claimed Leeds tried to sign Walker-Peters in January but a mid-season drop to the Championship was always going to be unlikely for the England right-back. But Leeds remain interested in Walker-Peters.
Described as a “beautiful footballer” by former Southampton boss Russell Martin, Walker-Peters has turned down the chance to sign a new deal at Southampton with the Saints set to suffer relegation.
However, Caught Offside report on Thursday that Tottenham are showing the ‘strongest’ interest in a deal to land Walker-Peters. It would see him return to Spurs, five years after leaving the club for Southampton.
The report from Caught Offside also says that Chelsea, West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace also want to land the Spurs academy graduate. Born in London, Walker-Peters will have his pick of capital’s clubs.

Why Leeds do not need Kyle Walker-Peters, even on a free
There is no doubt that Walker-Peters would be a brilliant signing, especially without having to pay a penny in transfer fees. But, Leeds are hardly in need of a right-back thanks to the form of Jayden Bogle.
Bought for £5m from Sheffield United, Bogle was the driving force behind Saturday’s win over Preston and after an indifferent start to life at Elland Road, Bogle has proven to be one of Farke’s best signings.
Leeds do not need a right-back, with Sam Byram and Isaac Schmidt providing cover. However, a new left-back is certainly on the agenda with Junior Firpo yet to put pen to paper and extend his Leeds contract.
