The next chapter in Leeds United’s pursuit of automatic promotion takes place at The Kassam Stadium on Good Friday, after Sheffield United and Burnley have taken to the pitch.
Leeds are back at the top of the Championship after two successive wins against Middlesbrough and then Preston, coming at the same as Sheffield United’s implosion with Chris Wilder’s side losing three in a row.
Burnley continue to push, remaining unbeaten in 29 games and sit level with Leeds on points. The Clarets are in action at Watford at 3pm on Good Friday, before Sheffield United host to Cardiff City at 5.30pm.
Then, it’s Leeds at Oxford United at 8pm. Three enormous games with more twists and turns expected in the race to finish in the top two – with Leeds currently requiring seven points from the final four games.

Gary Rowett could have four Oxford United players missing
Rowett has dragged Oxford United from the relegation mire and pushed them towards safety, with the newly-promoted Championship side now sitting in 17th and close to confirming Championship safety.
Three wins in the last five have gone some way to saving Oxford from relegation, but Friday will see them enter the match as underdogs. Especially, after Ciaran Brown was ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Northern Ireland star has started all 42 Championship games this season for Oxford, but was subbed off early with a knee injury and Rowett has confirmed he will be missing for the remaining four games.
On loan from Liverpool, Max Woltman will also miss the game. Hidde ter Avest has an outside chance of recovering from a concussion, while Elliott Moore is training after a hamstring injury – but is yet to play.
- Ciaran Brown – Out (knee injury)
- Max Woltman – Out (leg injury)
- Hidde ter Avest – doubt (concussion)
- Elliott Moore – doubt (hamstring)
Leeds United’s injury news ahead of Oxford United clash
Leeds’ injury list is half as long as Oxford United’s. Daniel Farke confirmed there was no new injury issues when asked if the squad had come through against Preston on Saturday, during a 2-1 win at Elland Road.
Dan James and Joe Rothwell were missing from the game. James has a hamstring injury picked up late on against Middlesbrough, while Rothwell picked up a calf injury in training a day before the Luton match.

Farke said there is a chance that James could be involved against Oxford, in what would be an astonishing turnaround after the injury against Boro. But for Rothwell, he will have to wait until Bristol City at home.
