Leeds United are strongly interested in a move for Jamie Shackleton’s new Sheffield United teammate Jayden Bogle, and details of the two offers made have now emerged.
Leeds are in desperate need of a new right-back. Shackleton and Luke Ayling have left on free transfers, Connor Roberts is back at Burnley, Archie Gray has gone to Tottenham and Rasmus Kristensen is off.
It leaves the Yorkshire club with just Sam Byram as a viable option on the right side of the defence. But Leeds fans and importantly Daniel Farke are well aware that Byram cannot be trusted as first choice.
His injury record prevents it, despite playing more than Leeds might have expected last term. The Whites have been linked with a number of right-sided defenders, one example is Sunderland stalwart Trai Hume.

Details of two Leeds bids for Jayden Bogle emerge, both £4m
Another on Leeds’ shortlist is Sheffield United’s Jayden Bogle. The “fantastic” defender has entered the final year of his Blades contract and Sheffield United must either sell now, or face losing him on a free.
Sheffield United want a fee of £7m for 23-year-old Bogle. But the Yorkshire Evening Post report that Leeds have tabled two offers, though neither exceed a fee of £4m in value, but structured differently.
Interest in Bogle at Elland Road remains, with the right-back impressing in a poor Sheffield United side last term after relegation from the Premier League. He scored against Man City, Man United and Chelsea.

Danny Mills has urged Leeds to do a deal for Bogle this summer
Whether Leeds go back in with a third offer for Bogle remains to be seen, with The Whites now boasting a bit more cash after the permanent sale of Glen Kamara to Ligue 1 side Rennes for a fee of around £8.5m.
But Leeds need to consider whether Sheffield United have added a Leeds tax on to Bogle’s price tag. The rivalry with the club and indeed Chris Wilder will certainly mean The Blades are stubborn over Bogle.
Mills thinks Bogle is a good signing: “He has good potential and this can be a good signing for Leeds United. It’s vital Leeds strengthen. £7m is a small price to pay if he can help the squad to promotion.”
