Tuesday night saw a lot of football played, with two of Leeds United’s summer transfer targets in action.
Leeds United are back to Saturday duties after back-to-back Monday night games, and very important back-to-back wins against Sunderland and Sheffield United.
Daniel Farke’s side have pulled five points clear at the top of the Championship table after their 3-1 win at Sheffield United on Monday night, as the Whites once again came from behind to overcome their promotion rivals.
Next up is a home game against West Brom on Saturday. The Baggies are in 5th place of the table and beat Oxford United 2-0 in their last outing, but Tony Mowbray’s side are a staggering 24 points behind Leeds in the standings.
Another win on Saturday would put Leeds a step closer to the Premier League with the 49ers already drawing up a list of exciting transfer targets. Two were in action on Tuesday night…

Kyle Walker-Peters poor again as Southampton suffer heavy defeat
Southampton are on track to go down as the worst Premier League side of all time. But Leeds United could raid St Mary’s for a couple of players in the summer, one being Kyle Walker-Peters.
Leeds United are interested in Walker-Peters but the full-back hasn’t been playing all that well of late. Walker-Peters was poor in the last outing against Brighton and poor again on Tuesday night, as the Saints suffered a second-straight 4-0 defeat.
Chelsea won the game at Stamford Bridge as Walker-Peters was handed another 4/10 rating. Daily Echo journalist George Rees-Julian wrote of the 27-year-old: “Struggling to remember anything he did, again. Just 15 passes before being forced off on the hour mark.”
Leeds United target Cameron Archer came off the bench late on but failed to make an impact.

Leeds United target Nicolas Kuhn quiet despite emphatic Celtic win
Another name linked with Leeds United recently is Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn. It’s been reported that Leeds United are among the teams eyeing Kuhn ahead of the summer, with the German having had a blistering season so far with Celtic.
The winger has 10 goals and six assists in 23 Scottish Premiership games so far this season. But Kuhn was quiet on Tuesday night as his Celtic side thumped Aberdeen 5-1 at Celtic Park.
Journalist Lewis Anderson gave Kuhn a 7.1/10 raring, writing for Glasgow World: “One of the German’s quieter games, with most of Celtic’s attacking threat coming down the left-hand side. Switched flanks with Jota midway through the first-half. Started the move with which led to Jota’s goal.”
Leeds’ game against West Brom kicks off at 12:30pm.
