Updates on Jack Rudoni, Kalvin Phillips and James McAtee in the latest Leeds United transfer rumour round-up.

Leeds United are now free to start making signings, for nine days at least, as the summer transfer window officially opens today.

A busy summer is expected at Leeds as Daniel Farke is aiming to improve several areas of his squad ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.

Here are the latest rumours as the window finally opens.

Coventry City star Jack Rudoni emerged as a target for Leeds this past week after he enjoyed a fine Championship campaign.

A new playmaker is top of Leeds’ list as Farke aims to upgrade on Brenden Aaronson, with Rudoni grabbing 10 goals and 13 assists this past season.

Newcastle United are also eyeing Rudoni, however, an exit might not be as likely as first appeared.

BBC Sport’s Mantej Mann reports that Rudoni has ambitions of playing in the Premier League but remains happy at Coventry and enjoys working with manager Frank Lampard.

Kalvin Phillips injured until August

Leeds are also likely to enhance their midfield options following the departures of Joe Rothwell and Josuha Guilavogui.

The return of Kalvin Phillips to Leeds appeared a sure bet for months if the Whites went up but the chances of that have taken a massive hit.

Phillips has gone under the knife to fix an Achilles problem and won’t be fit again until August, reports Mail Sport, meaning he will miss all of pre-season.

Leeds are likely to be cautious in recruiting an injured player when they need to make a strong start next season.

Angus Kinnear has now joined Everton as CEO but appears to still be targeting the players he was interested in at Leeds

Manor Solomon and Gustavo Hamer have both been linked with the Toffees following Kinnear’s move to Merseyside.

Now, Manchester City star James McAtee is on Everton’s radar, too.

McAtee wasn’t included in City’s Club World Cup squad, indicating his time at the Etihad is coming to an end and he is being chased by clubs from England and Germany.

Mail Online reports Everton have joined the race for the £25m-rated playmaker.
