Leeds United look to be undergoing something of a boardroom reshuffle, and just in time for their return to the Premier League.
Leeds United secured promotion to the Premier League on Monday after a two year hiatus in the Championship.
It comes after a very turbulent season and a very turbulent last few weeks with Leeds United looking as though they were doomed for the play-offs at one point, only to leapfrog both Sheffield United and Burnley with a 1-0 win away at Middlesbrough earlier in the month.
But Daniel Farke got the job done, as he promised he would. Now the club can plan for the summer ahead with reports that Leeds United already have a summer transfer plan in place. Alarmingly though, the club is losing some key figures behind the scenes.

Everton now want Gary Penrice and Nick Hammond at Leeds United
Earlier in the year it was confirmed that CEO Angus Kinnear was leaving Leeds United for Everton. Soon after that, it was then revealed that Everton wanted Leeds United’s football adviser Nick Hammond too, with confusion since about whether or not he’s agreed a move to Goodson Park ahead of the summer.
BBC have clarified the situation stating that Hammond ‘is among the main contenders being considered to work under Kinnear’ but that a deal is not yet finalised. The same report also goes on to reveal how the Toffees, as part of a summer shakeup, are also looking at Leeds United’s recruitment figure Gary Penrice.
Although Penrice’s exact role at Elland Road is somewhat unclear, he does work as part of the club’s recruitment staff and has now ‘been identified as another possible appointment at Everton’.

Jamie Carragher’s warning is about to come true at Leeds United
Coincidentally, Jamie Carragher was recently speaking about clubs promoted to the Premier League compared to those who are established. And Carragher said established Premier League teams need stability behind the scenes, i.e. directors of football and the like.
For Leeds United, that warning is certainly alarming. In the summer before their return to the Premier League they’re being picked off by Everton having already lost Kinnear and now looking as though they could lose Hammond and Penrice too.
For charman Paraag Marathe, it’s a worrying time despite the jubilations of the last 48 hours. He needs to ensure Leeds United have stability going into the summer transfer window and into the 2025/26 season.
