The transfer window is well underway now and Leeds United are continuing their momentum in the market as more concrete transfer news is emerging with every passing day of the window.

A busy summer is expected at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad far from ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.

Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, and Sebastiaan Bornauw all became Leeds players in recent weeks, meaning they have three new additions thus far but far more is to come.

Douglas Luiz rejects Leeds move

Leeds are in the race to sign Douglas Luiz from Juventus, and it is also understood that Juventus are ready to take a financial hit on Luiz this summer as well.

Luiz could be a part of a dream Leeds midfield if they can secure the signing. It’s even been reported recently that Leeds lead the race for Luiz.

It’s said that Leeds United could sign Luiz on loan with an option to buy. However, a further report most recently states Luiz has no interest in moving to Leeds this summer.

Leeds target Gus Hamer hints at Premier League switch

Graeme Bailey has told Leeds United News that he expects Leeds to sign either Gus Hamer or Emi Buendia this summer as the club’s new playmaker.

PSV Eindhoven are also keen on Hamer, having qualified for the Champions League. It could cost PSV as little as £6.8 million for Hamer according to some reports.

Leeds could still be in the race after Daniel Farke saw a £13 million bid rejected for Hamer in 2024. The latest has potentially handed them a boost in the race as well, with Hamer said to prefer a move to the Premier League.

Djordje Petrovic set for Sunderland move over Leeds

Leeds United look set to sell Illan Meslier this summer after his disastrous 2024/25. Farke has a handful of goalkeeper targets and Djordje Petrovic is one of those.

After Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki, Sunderland now look set to sign yet another Leeds target. Recent reports revealed how Leeds were keeping tabs on Petrovic as they look for an alternative to Nick Pope.

Sunderland are closing in on Petrovic in a £21.6 million switch this summer, per the latest reports. It means Leeds will have to turn their attentions elsewhere yet again.
