Interestingly, Leeds United’s pursuit of a winger is not over despite the signings of Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon and a new target can be signed for a bargain £5m fee.

Having lost Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville and Jaidon Anthony for one reason or another this summer, Leeds needed attacking reinforcements. Ramazani and Solomon have been signed by Leeds.

Solomon’s loan move from Tottenham was confirmed on Tuesday night, a deal seen as a bit of a coup given Solomon is a Premier League-proven player and has even played in the Champions League.

Ramazani replaces Summerville, while Brenden Aaronson’s return covers the loss of Anthony. So, Leeds are well-stocked but it seems they are looking for another, with one option in Farense star Belloumi.

Leeds told they can sign Belloumi for a bargain £5m fee

On Tuesday evening, reports emerged from Portugal that Leeds were interested in raiding top-tier Portuguese side Farense for Belloumi. Now, a new report from A Bola says Farense want £5m for him.

The winger scored seven goals and laid on five more assists in 38 appearances for Farense and that has attracted the attention of clubs around Europe. Leeds are said to have watched Belloumi multiple times.

Belloumi is not the only winger Leeds are trying to sign before the deadline on Friday. Freiburg’s Roland Sallai is also an option for the Whites, with Leeds said to be ‘pushing hard’ to sign Sallai for £7.6m.

Leeds not alone in Belloumi chase as Marseille join transfer race

Marseille have already beaten Leeds to one signing this summer in the form of England U21 star Jon Rowe, with the French club said to have signed the attacker from Norwich for a fee far north of £15m.

Now, Belloumi could be next. The new report from A Bola also says that Marseille and Belgian giants Club Brugge want to land the ‘sought-after’ star, with Brugge opening talks to land Belloumi this summer.

Whether Leeds are genuinely focusing on another winger remains to be seen, with priority surely placed in signing a new midfielder and more cover at full-back. But, Belloumi looks likely to be a target for Leeds.
