It’s been a light start to the transfer window with there yet to be any breakthroughs for Leeds.

Incomings might not be coming to fruition, but with outgoings, there seems to be a lot happening.

Much has been made of Junior Firpo’s future, and now AC Milan want to strengthen with Firpo in what could be a no-brainer for the full-back.

With this considered, Leeds will need a replacement, and they might have found the perfect full-back.

Farke will know Firpo is a player needing to be replaced quickly and will hope the 49ers can resolve his situation very quickly.

From the get-go, Firpo has been likely to leave Leeds, and that still remains the point of view.

But the Leeds boss will no doubt want his agents to act quickly, and now he could be taking matters into his own hands with a full-back replacement.

Mike McGrath is suggesting that English clubs heading to the Premier League are showing interest in Orlando City full-back Alex Freeman.

Although he’s a right-back, Leeds might be looking into the prospect of just strengthening their full-back areas with Firpo leaving.

Italian side Parma have submitted a £1.7m offer for the 20-year-old, and Orlando are now braced for further bids for Brenden Aaronson’s USMNT teammate, especially after what he did not too long ago.

Potential Leeds target Alex Freeman pocketed Lionel Messi

To go back in for American and MLS-made players might be seen as a risk for Leeds after the failures of Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie, and now Jack Harrison.

Harrison could rejoin Everton and it seems as though fans don’t want Harrison back so the winger finds himself in a dilemma.

But the Whites hierarchy shouldn’t go off these players as an example, with Freeman looking like one of the most exciting prospects coming out of the league.

The defender has only really emerged onto the scene this season, but he’s made an impact over in Orlando.

His presence as a right-back going forward and defensively could be perfect for Farke, and as seen in the past right-backs can do the job of a left-back, explaining why he could replace Firpo.

More to the fact of how he’s been so good though, is the fact he kept arguably the greatest player of all time quiet in Lionel Messi, after a masterclass from his Orlando team in beating Messi’s Inter Miami 3-0.

For just £1.7m, he looks to be the real deal, and if he can seemingly pocket Messi, he could thrive on the Premier League scene.
