After a flurry of arrivals at Leeds United, it now looks like we could see a couple of players heading out of the Elland Road doors.
Leeds United have completed deals to sign Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach, who join from Newcastle United and Hoffenheim respectively. The midfield duo cost a combined total of more than £30 million.
And now it looks like Daniel Farke will turn his attention to attacking additions. Reports have revealed that Leeds United are trying hard to sign Igor Paixao from Feyenoord. Separate reports have also revealed that Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is Leeds United’s top striker target this summer.
Expect to see attacking signings arriving at Elland Road in the next week or so. But also expect one or two players to make their way out of the club. One such name could be Mateo Joseph. Joseph has handed in a transfer request at Leeds United this summer and looks bound to leave the club.
Meanwhile, Patrick Bamford has been told he can leave Leeds United this summer. However, one player has already turned down the chance to leave Leeds this summer and it’s neither Joseph nor Bamford.

Largie Ramazani turns down loan exit from Leeds United
Largie Ramazani was a bit part player for Leeds United last season, following the winger’s £10m arrival from Spanish side Almeria. The 24-year-old Belgian Ramazani played 29 times in the Championship, though he only started seven games. Despite that, he managed to chip in with six goals and two assists across the season as Leeds United won the Championship title.
Now though, The Athletic are reporting that Ramazani has turned down the chance to leave Leeds United this summer. Beren Cross writes that Greek outfit Aris Thessaloniki ‘would be open to a loan deal with an option’ to buy Ramazani, but that the Leeds man has knocked back Aris’ move, along with moves from other European clubs.
Cross doesn’t write any more on the matter, though it seems as if Ramazani is keen to represent Leeds United in the Premier League next season. It’ll be good news for Farke who is currently light on options on the wing, particularly on the right following Manor Salomon’s return to Tottenham Hotspur.
What Largie Ramazani thinks about Leeds United signing Igor Paixao
It looks like the man who Farke wants to replace Solomon this summer is Paixao. Leeds United have made a bid to sign Paixao in a deal that could cost in the region of £30million.
Should the Brazilian arrive, following his stunning 2024/25 season in the Eredivisie which saw him accumulate 26 goal contributions, then it would surely push Ramazani well down the pecking order and potentially out of the first-team picture entirely.
But speaking recently, Ramazani gave his verdict on Paixao potentially arriving at Leeds United this summer, and the Belgian insisted that he would relish the competition, he said: “I think it’s great to have some competition in the team, and then we just push every single player. Whether it’s a winger, striker – no matter what position you just play, we’ll just push each other. I have to prove myself and see where it goes.”
Leeds United will play a behind-closed-doors friendly in Germany on Saturday before a game against Villarreal at Elland Road on August 2nd.
