Leeds United have a new name on their radar ahead of the summer transfer window, and it’s an exciting one too.
Leeds United go up against Portsmouth on Sunday as the Whites look for a return to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw against West Brom last time out.
That draw at Elland Road followed back-to-back wins against promotion rivals Sunderland and Sheffield United respectively, with Daniel Farke’s side now boasting a three point lead at the top of the Championship table.
Promotion is starting to look like more and more of a reality for the Whites this season. And rather inevitably, there’s some exciting names starting to be linked with summer moves to West Yorkshire.
Among those; Tammy Abraham is being linked with Leeds United whilst the likes of Southampton trio Aaron Ramsdale, Kyle Walker-Peters, and Cameron Archer are reportedly targets too.
Farke appears to be keen on bolstering his side with added quality in the summer. And a new name is now linked, and he’d certainly one that’d add quality as well: Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Bright Osayi-Samuel open to England return amid Leeds United links
Osayi-Samuel is an emerging target for Leeds United ahead of the summer. But the 27-year-old Nigerian international has been linked with a move to Elland Road in seasons before, so it appears as though he’s someone who Farke has been keeping tabs on throughout the last year or so.
Crystal Palace are also keen on the right wing-back who’s out of contract at Fenerbahce in the summer. Jose Mourinho is keen for Osayi-Samuel to sign a new deal but so far, Osayi-Samuel isn’t budging.
Almost a year ago to the date when Osayi-Samuel was previously being linked with Leeds, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed the former QPR man’s stance on a return to England, and it’s good news for Leeds. Though they’d need promotion to sign the player.
Jacobs wrote for GIVEMESPORT last March: “The player, should he make a move, and England is somewhere that he would be prepared to entertain, would ideally be looking for Premier League football, from what I’m told anyway.”

Leeds United could save £7m in deal for Bright Osayi-Samuel
Last year, Leeds tried to sign Osayi-Samuel in a £7million deal from Fenerbahce. Of course, the move failed. But Mourinho’s side may now be ruing their decision to keep hold of the player who seems determined to leave in the summer transfer window.
And for Leeds, if they can sign Osayi-Samuel for nothing then it’d be a huge coup. The player too may be inclined to at least listen to Leeds’ offer knowing that the club have been very keen on signing him for a long time.
As Jacobs previously said though, Leeds need Premier League football to make the move happen. If the Whites miss out or promotion goes right down to the wire then Osayi-Samuel may have his head turned by others offers, with Palace a potentially very good move for him.
